Frequently Asked Questions

In New South Wales the placement of a private pole on your property is regulated. The first private pole, or primary pole, must be located within 1 metre of the front of your property. However, any additional poles can be positioned further within your property’s boundaries as needed.

If the terrain of your property will make it difficult to install a primary pole within these guidelines, it is possible to obtain a dispensation, but this can be a challenging process.

The responsibility for the cable between a house and the network pole lies with the customer. This means that it’s your duty to manage and maintain the cable that connects from your house’s point of attachment or private pole to the network pole.

The cost of hiring a level 2 electrician can vary based on the specific nature and complexity of the electrical work required.

Contact our team today and we can provide an accurate estimate with no obligation.

An Electrical Defect Notice is issued when your electrical installation fails to meet safety standards. This may be due to wiring that is incorrect or faulty, recent modifications or additions to the connection, or trees or branches growing too close to electrical wires on your property.

If the defects are not rectified within 21 days of receiving the notice, the electricity supply to your property may be disconnected until the necessary repairs are completed to meet the safety and service standards.

Upon receiving an Electrical Defect Notice, it is essential to promptly contact us. Our team of level 2 electricians will visit your property to inspect the issue and provide a quote for the required work.

After the repairs have been completed, we will assist in notifying your electricity distributor and scheduling an inspection to clear the defect notice.

Our Level 2 electrical contractors service the Newcastle, Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Port Stephens areas.
